The DIfA project is a cooperation between the Department of Business Informatics / VLBA at University of Oldenburg and Volkswagen AG. This cooperation enables practical research.
Role
The department of Business Informatics / VLBA provides expertise in the fields of big data, business intelligence (BI) and data analytics. Research staff, phd students and student assistants are working together on the project. Moreover, student theses are integrated into the project.
Profile
In research and teaching, the VLBA focuses on large company and inter-company information systems. The department also focuses on corporate environmental information systems (BUIS), business intelligence (BI) and big data. The department works closely with the Institute for Computer Science OFFIS e.V. on issues and applications related to data science, the Internet of Things and Industry 4.0 in various research projects in the energy and smart city context (e.g. NetzDatenStrom and enera).
